What You’ll Do:
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Upholding and embodying IMA’s core values.

  • Establishing and maintaining professional and proactive communication with clients, production staff, and other associates. This includes addressing client and insurance company inquiries and concerns regarding provided services, as well as escalating complaints of service failures to the appropriate management for investigation and resolution.
  • Develops direct reports, including Account Executives, and has responsibility of service teams within the National Accounts Team
  • Mentorship - Hires, trains, and manages staff.
  • Performs functions of the role as a remote employee and will travel as necessary for the service of and renewal of the assigned client base to the National Accounts Team
  • Responsibilities are solely focused on the National Accounts Team, will not be accessed by producers for new business that is not preapproved to be handled by the National Accounts Team.
  • Monitors and coordinates:
  • The servicing and oversight of the National Accounts team
  • The addition of new accounts and transfers of accounts among staff to maintain acceptable workloads in accordance with the National Accounts Team Mission
  • All functions with respect to the servicing and relationship management of the National Accounts Team
  • Book Management
  • Ultimate responsibility all policies placed within The National Accounts Team
  • Trains staff on coverage details and placement strategy
  • Organizes and maintains IMA carrier panels.
  • Oversight of all in scope policy placements within The National Accounts Team
  • Coordinates with claims team on best practices and data intelligence
  • Conducts regular coaching and performance review meetings with team members and completes documentation as established by Human Resources
  • Collaborates with National Real Estate Practice Lead to support practice strategies.
  • Direct oversight and development of marketing strategy for renewal business.
  • In conjunction with producers of National Accounts serviced in the team and National Real Estate Practice Lead develops a service plan tailored to client’s needs and coordinates the services of other dedicated shared services (Risk Mgt., Claims, Accounting)
  • Oversight of the execution of internal and client-facing business reviews to ensure level of service and adequacy of client’s program design based on their business needs and risk tolerance.
  • Attends carrier/client functions to represent IMA and further cultivate relationships.
  • Communicates with Real Estate National Practice Director regarding department strategies, needs, and performance.
You Should Have::
Required Experience and Skills include but are not limited to:
  • At least 15 years of similar or related industry experience preferred.
  • 10 years of management/leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn and navigate within Agency Management System (EPIC)
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office products preferred (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required for state of business.
  • Moderate travel required (15-20%)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written, oral and communication skills
  • Possesses a significant level of trust and diplomacy.
  • Ability to influence those not reporting directly to you.
